Provide First Aid HLTAID003

(previously known as Apply First Aid HLTFA311A and Senior First Aid)

This covers a wide range of topics allowing participants to confidently manage a range of emergency situations until medical aid arrives. This course is suitable for participants in the workforce and the general public. The Apply First Aid qualification remains current for 3 years. Time frame for delivery is 1 Day.

Provide CPR HLTAID001

(previously known as Perform CPR – HLTCPR211A and CPR Refresher Training)

This course teachers the participant to recognise and manage an emergency situation where the casualty is unconscious and not breathing. It allows the participant to sustain life by providing cardiopulmonary resuscitations (CPR) until medical assistance arrives. The CPR refresher course is to be undertaken every 12 months. Time frame for delivery is 2 hours.

Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques HLTFA404C

(Defibrillation and Oxygen Training)

All successful participants of this course will be able to to apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques including the use of oxygen and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Although not required, it is generally recommended that participants first complete the First Aid course. Time frame for delivery is 3-4 hours.

Anaphylaxis & Asthma 22099VIC & 22024VIC

This course is specific to the childcare industry providing participants with knowledge and confidence in dealing with anaphylaxis and asthma emergencies and meeting the requirements of the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). Time frame for delivery is 2 hours.

Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting – HLTAID004

This is a new unit of competency to provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting. This course is specifically for those working in childcare and meets the qualification standards for the Education and Care Services National Regulation. The Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) has endorsed HLTAID004 a

s satisfying all educator requirements for first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma management – as outlined by National Regulations.

Duration for the course is 6-8 hours.

Low Voltage Rescue (Switchboard Rescue) HLTAID001 & UETTDRRF06B

This course is required for licensing as part of the Electrical Safety regulations 2002 and is thus suitable for participants employed as electricians or technicians working on electrical equipment. It provides participants with underpinning knowledge and skills to confidently and safely preform CPR and use low voltage rescue equipment in an emergency. Participants should be over the age of 14years. Time frame for delivery is 3 hours

Parents First Aid Awareness Course

Each day, thousands of children in Australia require medical attention and countless others are taken to the hospital for treatment. The Babies and Children First Aid Awareness course provides participants with basic first aid and resuscitation training. This course is suitable for parents, grandparents and carers of children and helps inform them on how to deal with choking, drowning, CPR, Head injuries, Bleeding, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and convulsions. Early intervention may prevent complications and hospitalisations.

Carers First Aid Awareness Course

The Carers First Aid Awareness course provides participants with basic first aid and resuscitation training covering a variety of topics from the First Aid Course.

Every home should have a first aid kit and supplies should be checked & refurbshed after use.
